Born and raised in Chilliwack, David has been playing violin since the age of three and teaching for the past twenty-five years.  He performs regularly in the area and has served as concertmaster of both the Chilliwack Metropolitan Orchestra and the Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra.  As conductor and co-founder ofthe Chilliwack Metropolitan Youth Orchestra (2008 - 2014), David has seen the inspiration and camaraderie that ensemble playing provides for young musicians.  His own teacher, Walter Neufeld, was known for an excellent string orchestra in Abbotsford.  Many Fraser Valley musicians and teachers had the opportunity to perform in that orchestra and David is dedicated to continuing this tradition of high calibre instruction in Chilliwack.  When he is not teaching, performing or conducting, David loves spending time with his wife and three children.
